4. Core Educational Governance Principles
5.1 Pedagogical Integrity Preservation
AI must support but never replace student cognitive development, reflective learning processes, critical thinking development, or professional skill formation. AI must not generate assessed student learning outputs.
5.2 Safeguarding Documentation Protection
AI must support safeguarding clarity while ensuring staff safeguarding judgement remains visible, escalation reasoning remains practitioner-led, and student welfare concerns remain authentically documented.
5.3 Student Voice and Learning Narrative Protection
AI documentation tools must not standardise or suppress student reflections, individual learning experiences, cultural or contextual educational factors, or placement and experiential learning narratives.
5.4 Assessment Integrity Protection
AI must not produce assessed coursework or portfolio content, replace student authorship, or undermine academic or professional assessment integrity. AI may support structural organisation and formatting only.
5.5 Professional Development and Reflective Practice Integrity
Within professional training environments, AI must support reflection structuring, encourage learner self-analysis, preserve practitioner identity formation, and support competency framework alignment.
5.6 Inspection and Compliance Transparency
AI documentation tools must support inspection readiness, evidence clarity, documentation audit trails, and accountability transparency.
5. Structured Educational AI Integration Model
Phase 1 — AI Literacy and Awareness
Students and educators receive training on responsible AI usage.
Phase 2 — Supervised Documentation Scaffolding
Students use AI tools to structure placement notes, reflective practice documentation, and case and supervision records.
Phase 3 — Competency Alignment Integration
AI supports mapping learner experience to professional competency frameworks, accreditation standards, and learning outcomes.
6. Prohibited Educational AI Practices
- AI generation of assessed student work
- Automated safeguarding risk determinations
- Removal of student reflective authorship
- Deployment without institutional governance oversight
7. Compliance Levels
Level 1 — Documentation Support Compliance
Practitioner and student authorship safeguards implemented.
Level 2 — Institutional Governance Integration Compliance
Formal governance oversight and training implemented.
Level 3 — Advanced Educational AI Governance Compliance
Continuous monitoring, safeguarding integration, and institutional transparency reporting implemented.
8. Public Assurance Statement
PAIDS-E affirms that artificial intelligence must strengthen educational clarity, safeguarding protection, and professional development while preserving human learning, reflection, and judgement.
